What are these?

I have so many artists friends and family and though that I’d give it a try. 😳 😂You know how you see someone do something amazing like skate boarding, surfing, or in this case drawing and their skill set is so good that they make things look easy? It’s not. They have put in the hours, the sweat equity and developed that skill to the point that they just amaze you. So to all of you who have put in the time and effort to master your chosen art, you have my sincere appreciation. To those of you still working towards mastery…don’t…give…up!

“Are you paying attention to your barometric altimeter? Are you making necessary adjustments as you ascend to success? You will have pressures coming in on you from many fronts as you climb towards success. They could be finical, geographical, or time for example. You will also find that there will be those around you who will act like gravity, pulling at you, trying to bring you back down to their world of mediocrity.”

When entrepreneur, CEO, international speaker, and author Leland Jones http://www.multimotivation.com/ releases his book “A Journey With Purpose” in audio format you will be listening to MY voice. What an amazing privilege and honor to have narrated such a powerful, timely and motivational book. Leland’s focus is on helping young people recognize their limitless potential to create their life’s “Journey With Purpose”. That being said, I can tell you first hand that his mentorship through the pages of his book will benefit older people as well.

I say first hand because it was necessary for me to employ his steps, reminders and formulas to successfully complete the narrating of “A Journey With Purpose.”

Thank you Leland for entrusting me with the narration of your amazing book.

Something my mom continues to remind me, “Time and unforeseen occurrences befall us all.” Ecclesiastes 9:11.

Your significant other, to whom you’ve invested so much of yourself and time tells you, “It’s not you it’s me.” Maybe the job you thought was going to be so amazing, turned out to be just that, amazing but it’s the people you work with who aren’t so amazing. What if you’ve finally saved up some money only to have your car breakdown. It’s repair will cost, you guessed it, just about as much as you’ve saved.

You can’t change the past, you can’t change people and you can’t change the present (the moment), what you can change is your attitude toward the past, the people and the present moment. In this regard you can influence what’s really important, your future. Take responsibility for your situation. Not in the sense that you caused it but that you are responsible for your response to your given circumstance. As Stephen Covey said you are, “response-able” meaning you can be proactive and choose your response to your given situation. What I’ve learned and encourage is to never give away that power. Never allow a person or situation the power to dictate your mood or your future. My friend Kelsey would say, “They keep bring the rain but I’m just going to continue to shine.”

Make it your resolve today to shine.
